In Myth II 160, you can switch from Mariusnet to PlayMyth. Whenever I switched to PlayMyth, it saved to PlayMyth and stays on PlayMyth. It won't switch back to Mariusnet. I need help.

Don't switch to playmyth. It doesn't exist anyway.

Read the section on how to get on a server to play. It covers what you already know and talks about a problem some people have. If that doesn't help, let us know.

yeah no one plays on playmyth anymore. even when just trying to connect, the lag is unbelievable.

I know PlayMyth doesn't work anymore. I was just messing around, and I just wanted to see what would happen if you switched to one of the PlayMyth servers. Of course it didn't work. Now it won't switch back, even after you save back to Mariusnet.

I even tried uninstalling it and installing it again. It didn't do anything. It is still on the PlayMyth setting.

Where can you delete the PlayMyth setting, like it said in Pyro's guide.

some file(s) in your plugins folder, not sure where else.... I thought Pyro's guide gave the specifics?

Okay, I deleted the PlayMyth folders, but whenever I go into Myth II multiplayer, it says PlayMyth at the top. So I clicked on the servers tab. Mariusnet was the only server. I saved Mariusnet, and PlayMyth kept its spot as my current server. I don't get that because I did delete PlayMyth.

You aren't suppose to delete those. Well you can, but it won't solve your issue. Go to the guide's Beta Updates and Plugins section. There is an image of the patch plugins Myth 2 loads when you run it. Look in your plugins folder. Do you have those same ones? Do you have the one for "Patch MariusNet"? Do you have any "PlayMyth v1.2.1" or any plugin that starts with "PMI"?

1. I do have all of those files located in the second picture of section "Beta Updates and Plugins", except for "Patch 1.4 Unity".
2.I have "Patch Mariusnet".
3. Those were the ones that the guide said to delete.

Hmm I see, okay go to your "preferences" folder. I don't recall which file has it, but it might be "bungienet", "metaserver", or "networking". Delete one of those (or all) and see if that fixes it. Let us know if it does. What build of Myth are you using.. Windows Modern? Windows Classic? Or one of the two Mac builds?

Yes delete them, don't worry they only store settings, the game won't break without them. It will just create new ones when you load Myth.

Hmm, okay delete all the files in your preferences folder. Worth a try. If that doesn't help, try reinstalling and/or reupdating Myth2 again.

You said you already reinstalled myth .... did you delete all the files that are left when you uninstall? because 3rd party plugins arent deleted.

1. uninstall myth 2
2. delete leftovers
3. install myth 2
4. install plugs
5. test
6. tell us if it worked

In your Myth II folder there is a "myth_log" text file that reports what is loaded and any errors that Myth may have for you. Open it and you will see words... copy/paste them here after you tried to get on Mnet or load a game.
