Hi - just joined. Some friends of mine and I play Myth III (via IP) but on Mac OS X. I don't see and OS X upgrade (PC only) for Marius.net - am I missing it?

What patch version are you playing with?

By the way you guys can also download the Myth 2 demo from http://www.getmyth.com and play that online and on Mariusnet although you are limited to 3 maps. You can use the same username and password on all 4 games or login with username "guest", password "guest" (without the quotation marks).

No, not missing anything except a Myth III patch for Mac. Currently there's only a Myth III v1.3.1 Updater (PC ONLY).

Maybe someone can comeup with a Mac patch that will work on MNet like it worked on PlayMyth.

Nobody has the old mac version of the patch laying around? I think I might somewhere but it is well hidden. On another note, our old friend Blades may have it on his site:

Getting an error from the Tain and Blades says he will post but so far no luck. I had kept up to date from PlayMyth - it's just Marius compatablity I'm looking for.

I'd love to join in, but I'm not having success getting multiplayer to work. I've installed the v.1.3.1 patch and played the solo version of Myth III on my XP system, no problem.

But when I've tried to TCP with a friend who also has Myth III, it keeps suggesting the game is either full or behind a firewall, even when we turn off the firewalls.

So I hunted around for a solution and found this site. Yay, possible hope! I downloaded the Metaserver file and put it in my preferences folder...but when I try to play online, clicking on the playmyth.net button just gives the same message I've always gotten: the servers are down.

Any suggestions you guys could give to help us get multiplayer working?

I've set my router to work as a "bridge" that way it just passes the data on as if it was only a cable. Or if you have the option to set your comp as a dmz in the router do that.

Do your router have a graphical interface where you can change settings at all? Usually by typing in some default ip number in your webbrowser or possibly through "My network places" (could be called something else I'm not using an english OS). If not you should mail the manufacturer and ask if there's a way to set it to dmz or bridge.

Me too, it really is just a question of seeing someone else logged in with M3. I even played a couple of M3 solo games a couple of weeks ago, no one else was around...

Good seeing you on the board. I'll have to dust off the Good Old Myth III. Haven't been playing to much lately because I've been busy playing Travian with my Package Order on the Travian Server's S3 and S5. Also been playing LotR-(SoA) online and still playing some Guild Wars.

Lot of good games to play and so little time when you throw in the family and work factors. lol

Myth III is still a fav of mine and always will.
