its best u listen to enculator's post for his website or PM me for a place where u can download it for free, because theres no reason to pay for Myth 10 years after it's been made seeing as how the people who actually made the freakin game don't even make money off it anymore.

For the most part pirated software does not have viruses and trojans, or so I've been told.  People that do get viruses from things they downloaded clearly don't know what they are doing. Seeing as Myth is rare, it might be good to let the people with slow/limited connections buy it while the faster connection users download it. If everyone bought Myth nowadays, there is a chance places will run out of copies of it.
And for the record, I did buy all 3 games.

i bought Myth 2 twice so it allows me to share it on my website 
also, it's a wise idea to have an updated anti virus software when you download pirated stuff.
On the other hand I guarantee that both Myth 2 version on my website are virus free.
I will give my organs if the above statement is false.

Is that because Take 2/EA owns it now? If so, I'd think it might be a good thing to buy it for the ridiculously low $3-$10(for a new copy) as a way of reminding the new owners of its longevity and continued fan base, so maybe they'd make a new version...just a thought. You can't buy most games that old "new" anymore.

trust me, after 60 years take 2 will never ever give a flying "CARE" about this game ever again, especially since they *POOPED* up on game 3.

Actually there is ONE reason to buy the game 10 years after it's been released - because it's illegal to dl it.
Stretching the analogy, but just because a publishing company no longer sells sheet music of your favorite song, that doesn't give YOU the right to photocopy it and/or scan it and let people download it from your website.
If the owner of an intellectual property is no longer interested in selling their property or in making it legally available I think a reasonable case can be made for owners of said property to share with some limited number of friends, BUT there's NO WAY a legal case could be made that anyone other than the IP property owner has ANY legal right (fair use or otherwise) to mass distribute an Intellectual Property they don't own the rights to.
And, although it's not 1337, it doesn't hurt to play by the rules and actually purchase a physical copy of the item so one is 100% legal. If nothing else, purchasing it might persuade people who sell old software to keep the title available as much as they are able - which is a good thing imo. If a title isn't available at ALL for purchase it's fallen WAY below the radar and is sinking into ham radio fan territory.

Stop all your whining im gonna buy it from amazon considering i bought myth1 and myth2 way back when they first came out. sorry i lost both copies due to moving. not a problem to pay for it again. i just didnt figure it was sold anymore.

Im pretty sure that the logistics of backup and recovery depend upon the contract that comes with each software purchase. I.e: You're not allowed to put OSX on more than one computer based upon the purchase of 1 software box, but you're allowed to put an iTunes song on 5!
I'm going to go find my original Myth II cd and read what their language states...later, cuz it's in the trunk of my car and its really rainy out.
