Ok, I might be a bit nuts, but I'm trying to make a hybrid .iso CD with both the PC & Mac versions of Myth III on it (like Myth 1 & 2 CD's). I own the PC CD, but I'd really like to get it working on my Mac as well.
Having read some of the posts here, I understand it's possible to manually install the PC version on the Mac and get it working with the 1.3.1 update, which is no problem for me to do. But, it would be nice to be able to cut out the hassle and automate it for future use and get some idea of the folder structure on the Mac.
I found a copy of the demo on hl.udogs.net but its corrupt. Try as I might, I just cannot find a demo anywhere else on the net.
Can anyone point me to a site that still has it to d/l?

Hmmm... I figured Mac users would know how to extract from SIT. There has got to be an expand command somewhere. Google is your friend. Anyway, as for making Myth 3 windows working on a mac and vice versa...

So, if I understand it good you have to do this: 1.Install myth3 on windows. 2.Copy the myth3 folder from windows to a disk. 3.Put the disk in my imac. 4.Copy folder from disk to hard drive (applications folder necessary? I don't think so) 5.Use the 1.3.1 patch to patch it (don't know how to do that but I'll figure it out)
If that's all thanks! And thanks for the stuffit expander to. I thought you had to pay for it LOL. Killerking

All versions of Myth (I,II & III) shipped by Bungie required a CD be in the CD drive to play. Later versions might not have the same requirement.
Get the Mac Myth III patch at the tain .

You can just set up a Windows partition on your Mac to run Windows games. It's also the stablest Windows platform you'll ever have too lol, 'cause if the Windows side crashes you can retain the info using the Mac side.

Setting up a windows partition on a mac assumes one has a really recent Intel Mac. As in the world at large, and maybe more so in 10-year-old-game-land, the majority of Mac owners don't have the latest macs.
for ex. I play myff on a circa 1999 Blue and White G3 (Upgraded of course, but still - no way it would run Windows)

The Myth 3 v1.3.1 Mac update is in the Tain, and the Myth 3 v1.3.1 PC update is in Mariusnet. Do the following:
1) Click on "Plugin Center". 2) Click on the "Patches and Utilities" tab. 3) Move your mouse over "Myth III v1.3.1 Updater (PC ONLY)". 4) Move your mouse to the side and click on the arrow pointing down.

You guy's don't completely understand it:
1. I have an Imac using boot camp 2. I downloaded myth3 for windows and I want to use it on my macosx tiger system
So, if I understand it good, 1. I copy the folder from windows (to a CD) that was created by the install of myth3 on windows. This folder is still version 1.0. 2. I move this windows folder from the CD to my macosx tiger part of the hard drive. 3. I patch the game from version 1.0 to v1.3.1 with the mac patch. 4. I'm happy and can play Myth.
Ok is this right? Will it work or not? Why are you confusing my about the darn patches?

I can tell you where to get a copy of the map pack you mentioned if you pm me.
ok. I doublechecked my HD and found another folder of stuff I had forgotten about. I can't guarantee any of these are the latest versions, or that they even work, but I have copies of:
For practical reasons, I can't host or even send you _all_ of these, so first check both the tain and udogs - I think they have some if not most of the non-Creation/Clem M3 maps at least.

I am probably missing a few things, but I don't have M3 so I never really got obsessive about collecting M3 stuff.
