This guy is a total maggot,i havent played in quite a long time,figure id jump in and play,i start asking a few question about the map,and archie the power tripping moron,is just a completely rude prick to me,then once in game,the ZERO skilled archie decides to get raped,and then take my unit...1 would think peeps would welcome old/new faces to the game...Not that maggot archie,is the rest of the remaining Myth 2 players like this guy?

When you see this "archie" character on mariusnet again, you can go to this link:
http://www.mariusnet.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/serveronline
and see what his login is. Then perhaps you can recognize him next time if he's using a different screen name. Oh, you can also see his login from the lobby while in Myth.
Yeah, most players aren't like that. But plenty are. I think it's usually the players who are pretty highly skilled at Myth -- and who's very identity seems to be tied to their Myth skills -- but who lack the finer social skill of common courtesy to the extent that if a n00b brings their team down, it ruins life for them and they will lash out at you, the imagined cause of their true inner misery. Lol. No, really!
Fortunately, many people don't bind their identity so strongly to the outcome of a game of Myth and will actually be helpful to you. I'd be one of those. Unfortunately the former group has me disgusted at this point and I haven't played in months, except in the private OoH Sat night games. I used to play and host almost every night.

Ya i know most miffers are cool,he was just such a toolbag...i was like wtf,had a lil buzz on,and wanted to play some ww2 games like the good old days for me,and that jerk just wanted to stomp on my fun,owell.
Are there many ww2ers left? when i say ww2 i mean ww2 recon elim/pat games.Also i have quite a few friends that wanna try out miff,u guys know if there is a download of myth2 floating around these days?

I'm trying to whip up some interest in Myth at TOG (http://www.theoldergamers.com/) in order to avoid that kind of crap. I play as a break from work stress/politics etc, and it's annoying when a game turns into exactly another, ruder version of that, or more bizarrely, generates surreal flashbacks to junior high. This hasn't happened all the time, but enough to be more than a little annoying, and it makes me less likely to just drop in and play if no one I know is on.

don't lose faith, man. like any game online, Myth does have it's share of a$$holes, myself sometimes included, but that's just reality. don't let some douchebag newb like archie ruin your fun. there are plenty of nice players out there still that would be more than happy to help you.

hi there, raper here , i remember your ass from way back then.
right now i cant play as im travelling central america, but im definately up for ww2 when i get back (couple of months) if u care to get in touch , write me a PM with your email and ill write you back ( i only check this from time to time )
nice to see one of the old ww2'ers are actually still alive, ww2 has mostly died since mariusnet and there are a lot of freshmans who dont really know how to play it - which sometimes spoils the game a lil but hey on the other hand ww2 is easy! very few players that still play it, but if we could organise some players to play more or less regularly at some times, it might be really cool. im definately up for that. many ppl still have the plugin though - only one thing: dont become an ava player, ava is too much [blam] luck! ( if you are to download plugins anyway, download URBAN RECON and the ww2 units tagset too! remember those awesome urban carnage CTF games 8v8 with choppers n stuff! )
