i can't get my screen name i made a account in this site any (i play marathon) i changed my name in the game but i still can't see my screen name when ever i play online.

Go to Preferences, then Player, and enter your login and password where it says "Find Internet Game" Server.

I have the same problem, but there is no login name, password, or find internet game box in preferences

In Marathon, go to Preferences, then click on the Player settings. In there you can enter your login and your password. They are the same ones you use for these forums

There is a chance that you may have to reset your password here to kick it into gear (that's technical speak for something I don't understand) if this doesn't work.

I repeat, THERE IS NO LOGIN IN PLAYER PREFERENCES IN MARATHON. I'm playing the first marathon, could that have something to do with it? Which one is everybody else using?

Thanks. I downloaded Marathon Infinity and Aleph One but It won't open Marathon Infinity, I can't figure out what the problem is. I can't find anything to install and all the correct files are in the Infinity folder, but it still won't open Infinity. Any ideas?

Copy the Aleph One executable (AlephOne.app if you're on a Mac, AlephOne.exe if Windows) into the folder where you have all your infinity files, and double click it.

It still doesn't work, I checked the Aleph one log and it says:

fatal alert (ID=-1): Please be sure the files 'Map', 'Shapes', 'Images' and 'Sounds' are correctly installed and try again. (csalerts_sdl.cpp:96)

The problem with that is, There is nothing to install, Maps, shapes, images, and sounds are correctly installed already. Could be that my computer is just feeble?

If they were correctly installed, the game would start up. So, I contend when you say "Maps, shapes, images, and sounds are correctly installed already" that is not true.

Why don't you post a screenshot of what your Marathon Infinity folder looks like.

OK, read my instructions above again. In this case, the folder with all your infinity files is called "Marathon Infinity"

Put AlephOne.exe in there.

AlephOne.exe is in the Marathon Infinity folder. It won't run.

Wait, it works now. I was missing a few files and the aleph one program i had downloaded was damaged. Thanks for helping.
