could we have a ranking reset sometime soon? April 1 would be a logical date, four months after the last reset (it was January 1, right?). Doing resets twice or once a year is way too long a time period, as after like 500 games you stop seeing changes in your stats without playing like 100 games.

hmmm.... do a "Chinese Fire Drill" reset??

Instead of zero-ing everyone out, just what games belong to which users so everyone inherits someone elses scores?

even though i only have 6 more games than you, i have more than twice your kills, and more than 2.5 times your damage, so no, you couldn't do anything with my stats.

If you're referring to reg large team games then actually yes I could, I'd just have to super nerd it and play lots of them. Could possibly play more aggressive too but you wouldn't go up in points as quickly.

That is assuming I didn't just decide to play FFA games where I normally just BC everything. You get much higher avg kills/dmg overall in FFA anyway, as well as points. That is if you don't suck!

I won 3 ffa games in a row, andwon 2 points.
This makes no sense.

This is because there are no points to gain or lose.
It is a score, like a Quarterback rating in the NFL... but it doesn't measure just one performance, but it is a combined measurement of *ALL* of your performances.

Aki, to reset yourself you just have to stop ranked play for 3 months. After that your game count will drop to zero, and your stats will change like crazy after each game just like for new players.

You just won 17 games out of 22, and got second place for 2 of your 5 lost games. What do you expect? The system cannot know that you're just being lucky.

no, my point is that I shouldn't be able to win 200 points in 20 games, when I failed at reaching 200 points in 800+ games.

It is a score (or a rating, if you prefer), not points. Think about that, there IS a difference. You don't gain or lose anything, you are simply rated higher or lower based upon how you do and against who you have done it.

With that in mind, now add in that it is a rating/score determined by the ratings/scores of those you have played against.

What this means is that before the reset, you hadn't sufficiently played/beaten players with the quality ratings/scores that you have since the reset.

lies all lies, i totally went up like 30 points in the last month and i had like 1000 games, anyway i played for like a week straight and got 100 more games and i won them all and i was on my way to comet before i got rudely interrupted...
