Amazing thing. I was looking over my co-worker's shoulder the other day while he was at his yahoo account. I noticed his email addy was something_mol@yahoo. Something stirred in my brain. (Can you imagine for a second something actually stirring in a brain?)
"What does the "mol" mean?" I asked him. Of course I was thinking of the old Myth order that TC (Total Codex) headed up; that was the stirring I'd felt in my memories. But I knew that wouldn't be it.
"It's from this old Myth II order I was in."
Wth? I thought. WTH? Mercenaries of Light? Total Codex? I'd been pals with TC waaay back.
"It meant 'Mercenaries of Light,' " he continued.
"Mercenaries of Light!!!!!!!" I screamed. Actually, I merely exclaimed it. "I knew that order!" I was pretty sure I knew which order it was, and I Googled it to find the two links below (uh, see below!). Sure enough there was Total Codex, TB, Ducky, etc. My goddam co-worker was in MoL! Isn't that a trip? Have you ever tripped harder than that?
Do you remember Pigion? The guy I work with is Pigion. You have to click the Clan History Page link to see his name, because he wasn't still in the order when the order list that is posted was made.
So I hadn't remembered that you guys were in the order, TB, Ducky, et cetera. I just remembered TC as MoL, though I knew you two back then as well. But in glancing at the page TB's real name jumped out at me! WTF?? I once again exclaimed in my head. Judging by the way my co-worker looked at me, I thought he might have heard it, too. "I know that guy!" I said. "He's in a group I'm in right now (Imperium). It's Tainted Bliss," and sure enough your name, TB, was there following, as well as Ducky's.
He, Pigion, had lost his Myth II CD's. So tonight I gave him my extra Myth copy and my 5.x GB plugin folder. Hopefully we'll see more of him. ( Bungie actually sent me 2 copies when I pre-ordered. And a shirt.)

You know what? The ghol darn expiration time for editing posts is too short! That has bitten me hundreds of times here (or so, prolly many fewer). Now i have to make a reply to simply add that I see all kinds of old familiar names on that Clan History Page link at the old MoL site.
Funny I didn't realize St. Joan, TB and Anakin, all fellow Imperium members, were in that order (though Joan was only in it for a few months).
Anyway. Still tripping that a co-worker turned out to have such a Myth-related past and hung out w/ the same Myth people I did/do!
I wonder what TC is doing these days.

I did! While at work I made him set up an account here. He's Pigion. But that was Friday, and I ain't seen him on yet.

Yeah, there's a Willow Creek very near where I live, and some Willow Creek apartments nearby in another direction, and mb Zo also lives around here! Hell, maybe you all live right next door. We'd never know.
Heh, say goodnight to the neighbor, go inside and get on mariusnet, and then play against him as his Myth name -- never knowing he lives next to me! Could happen... Practically happened with my co-worker.

apparently theres a "Proving Grounds" somewhere in like Nevada or California.
MoL was a totally lame and totally fun order

a big LOL at the MoL strategies.... for example:
PG koth ffa
* 1 Trow
* 1 Heron Guard
* 1 Warlock
* Maximum Number Of Mauls
* As Many Warriors As You Can Get With Your Remaining Points
I won't bother posting the actual strat... but LOL at this trade. Wow... how Myth has changed. 1 heron? 1 lock? I'd drop if my captain got this trade in a tffa.
Desert BC
27 Warriors (maximum amount)
45 Thrall (maximum amount)
16 Archers
6 Ghols
4 Wights
1 Dwarf
This trade shows some serious TFL influence in the early years of SB.... these days, this strat would get puss raped to [blam].
