THE FINAL BATTLE WITH THE DRAGON, WHEN ARCHERS ARE IN LINE ON THE SNOWY CLEFT...AMAZING...THATS Myth! THE SCENE OF BEOWULF OLDER AND THE BATTLE WITH FRISONS...THATS Myth!!! DO THAT!!! You liked the book? Which one? The original (Old English), or one of the translations? The funniest thing about them is that the most popular and cannonical one is the one made by Seamus Heaney, and the guy was Irish. But after he won the Nobel prize nobody actually questioned his translation, and that is too bad cause the guy did pretty much everything to show Anglo-Saxons (English) as vile and blood thirsty beast, to whom the poor celts (Irish) had to pay tribute, now that is not exactly what the original poem says
As for the movies, I heard that Beowulf and Grendel is pretty much an accurate adaptation, and I really did like the animated one, it plays with the original text in a very sly manner, so as to make a cool movie and respect the poem at the same time
