I just got Adobe's Suite 3 Master collection. It is installing everything but; After Effect CS3 Premiere Pro CS3 Encore CS3 Soundbooth CS3
It said due to: Support for CPU extension SSE2 I found this on the web.. http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software...Q_22848662.html
Do any of you guys know a way around this? Or to fix it?
Thanks !

From Adobe Forums: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=331177
1. Make sure that the system meets the minimum requirements for Premiere Pro.
Premiere Pro may not run correctly if the system doesn't meet the following requirements:
Note: If you use a third-party capture card, you may have additional system requirements. Contact the manufacturer of your capture-card for those requirements.
Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0:
- Intel® Pentium® 4 1.4GHz processor for DV (SSE2-enabled processor required for AMD systems; Pentium 4 3GHz processor supporting Hyper-Threading Technology for HDV; dual Intel Xeon? 2.8GHz processors for HD)
- Motherboard and CPU support for SSE2 (Streaming SIMD Extensions 2) Important:The following CPUs do not have SSE2 support and will not work with Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0: Intel Pentium III, AMD Athlon, AMD Athlon XP, or AMD Athlon XP-M.
http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/systemreqs/ System requirements and languages
WINDOWS
Intel® Pentium® 4, (1.4GHz processor for DV; 3.4GHz processor for HDV), Intel Centrino®, Intel Xeon® (dual 2.8GHz processors for HD), Intel Core™ Duo (or compatible) processor; SSE2-enabled processor required for AMD systems Originally posted by Ryu2002 Actually mine doesn't install because it says minimum requirements are not met "Support for CPU extension SSE2" , what is this? This may shed some light: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSE2I actually had to go buy a new PC since my AMD 2800+ didn't support AE or Premiere because of SSE requirement. From my experience there is no workaround if you do not have the hardware. Just gotta upgrade.

Thanks Scratch. I figured that would be the answer..I searched for a while. I was just hoping I could side step this problem..Oh well..reason to build a new PC for work. Just don't tell my wife that I don't need Premiere for photography.

Correct Frum. Nikon D-300. I have been going back and forth vs. the Fuji C5? Fuji has far better color and that is great for portraits...but Lacks speed. So when I do sports or other moving objects..I would be screwed. I will be doing a smoothy ad next month and really need the speed for the falling fruit. Local smoothy company needs 40x30 images. So I needz da speed.

Heh, I just got the same camera, hence my guess . I am liking it! Fortunately I didn't need a new lens. Well, actually, I do -- at least I want one -- but can't afford it at the moment. I've got some good glass, though. There's just always something else to want.

What kind of lens do you use? All I have is Nikon right now...but I have my eye on a Carl Zeiss lens..mmmm..tasty. https://photo-shop.zeiss.com/en/Categories/Objektive/ZF
They make some that fit the F-mount on Nikon. mmm.

Well, until I went digital with the D70 (and now the D300), I had 35mm cameras, an F4s and an awesome FM2 (I loved that camera, loved the F4s, too). I still have them, but I've taken the batteries out cuz I may not use 'em again for a long time, if ever. My favorite lens was my Nikkor 24mm f/2.8 with those 35mm film cameras. Now that thing's like a effective 35mm focal length lens on my digitals and I don't care for that focal length. I like wide. And it was nice and sharp. I really miss it.
So now I mainly I use this Nikkor 17-55 f/2.8. It's pretty sweet and covers the general range pretty well. It's my everyday lens. It's sharp, but even at 17mm it's about like a 28mm would have been on a 35mm camera. I long for my 24.
My trusty Micro Nikkor 105 f/2.8 is an awesome lens, but fixed focal length. But I wouldn't part with it.
I have an older AF 75-300 that wasn't their top o' the line, but it's serviceable and at 300mm with the digital it really brings things in close. Not nearly as sharp as my above lenses, though.
And then back in the day I loved this old manual 80mm f/1.8 Nikkor. I still have it, but never break it out. Sharp as sin, it was. It'd still shoot on the D300, but many features would not work.
You prolly already have the lens that I mentioned wanting: the AF-S VR Zoom-NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED. Unfortunately, at $1,624.95 it's out of my price range at the moment.
Hey, if anyone wants to get me a present, that lens above is it! Thanks!
The Zeiss option you mentioned should give you a really nice lens, but I shutter [sic] at the price you'll have to pay!

Price is the only thing holding me back. But damn they are sooo clear and sharp! More of a wet dream for me.
