Well TFL is special to me, i started playing it in 1999 but i had no internet for a long time so the only thing was the Solo maps, god i love'em. And i so desire to extract the Myth 1 movies that are in .smk format inside the tags but i cant find the perfectly good plug i did serching last year and well no partical luck, i extracted the files but they are withough any format(wmv,smk, or cpp  LOL) just name and that's all, and no player can read it. I tried to add the .smk or other things but it says its not a proper smk file... So im tired of looking mb some of u guys did this and know what to do or where to find the proper plugin.

Solo-prelevel movies (cut-scenes)are smacker files.
If you just want to view them you can look for a free smacker viewer application.

In an earlier conversation on the Tain, Killswitch said this :
"The tags from cutscenes.gor are 'modified' SMK files. They have a Myth header added onto them. Basically, there's 64 bytes of 'garbage' at the beginning of the smk files which prevents the Smacker player from recognizing them as 'true' SMK files.
Fixing the files is rather simple. Get yourself a Hex editor. (I use HexEdit but there's several others. Most are free.) Open the extracted tags in the Hex Editor, delete the first 64 bytes. (Delete everything until the ascii word 'Myth'.) The beginning of the file should begin with ascii 'SMK2'. Save the file, make sure it has a .smk extension and try to open it in Smacker player. "

Thanks i did as u said.
I used Free hex editor and deleted averything to the word SMK2.
It worked.
To download untag unitlity and extract the movies from the .gor file's use this link:

serious questions.
Is it illegal to post a screen capture of a Myth game screen to a public forum?
Is it illegal to use a screen capture program to turn a recording of a game into a standalone mpg or avi movie file and put the video on utube or link to it in a forum?
If those actions aren't illegal I can't see why posting cutscene films from a game would be illegal. All are examples of people posting original content from a game in a medium outside of the game.
If those activities ARE illegal we iz all piratz.
