I have successfully created an account and password that allows me to access the forums - hey, I'm posting this - but the password doesn't work when I try to login to play on the game site. Any ideas on what's going on?

The game server account was created correctly and I've confirmed that the password is identical (it's encrypted, but the encrypted strings are identical).

Make sure that you are attempting to connect to Mariusnet and not the defunct servers bungie.net or PlayMyth.net. To do this, on the login screen, click the 'Servers' button, select MariusNet and click Save. Now enter in your username, password and set your screenname, icon & colors and click 'Update Server Appearance' and then log in.

Well that worked. The only thing I did different from before was click the 'update servers...'

Jon God... You are not working because I'm a fool and I forgot to disallow spaces in logins. I'll be deleting your account now and you will have to re-register. I will be modifying the sign-up script ASAP.

Tell, how to be registered for online game in Myth on server MariusNet?
I registered on this site, but the game does not accept this account. And in FAQ the reference of registration does not work.
What to make me?

That should not be happening. Do you connect to the internet through a restricted network like at a university dormitory?

Ensure you have Ports 6321 and 6324 opened in your firewall. I'm not sure if it's TCP or UDP, so just do both.

3453 is for hosting. The metaserver itself uses different ports. Most routers let all outgoing traffic through, so it isn't a problem.

I just set up a bungie metaserver for kicks and giggles, and it uses ports in the range 6321 to about 6340. I'm not sure what mariusnet uses. I'd give yourself a range just to be safe.

Ok then there's a diffrence. Didn't know that thanks tarouszars, going to have to fiddle around with the bungie metaserver for kicks again. Did once when Marius releised it or something like that a while back. Something to putter around with on a rainy day.

Ok, you did something wrong in whatever it is you tried. It appears that you did not actually update your password in your 'My Profile' page.

I logged in as you and successfully changed the password in your profile and watched it update on the game server.

I've had a temporary password resent to you so that you can get logged back in here, but now you will still need to actually use the 'My Profile' page to change/reset/update your password to whatever it is you want it to be. Doing this will update the game server password at the same time as well.

Some domain's email reception software has overzealous spam-filtering software which prevents emails from places like Mariusnet from being delivered. What domain is your email address on?

In the mean time, you can still log on with username "guest", password "guest" (without speech marks).

I am having a similar problem. I have created an account on the website, but I cannot log onto the game. I think the problem is the registration script on this website is allowing the creation of login usernames longer than what the login text box on the multiplayer window in Myth can allow. My username was exceptionally long, and I cannot even fit it into the multiplayer login text box on Myth. If this is in fact the case, then I need my account to be deleted so I can recreate it with a shorter login username.

Any help is appreciated.

ok, update to this situation. My theory proved to be true. Instead of waiting for someone to delete my account, i simply created another one with a shorter name. The website here does indeed allow for usernames that exceed the character limit possible for Myth username logins. Something that probably needs to be corrected.
