I installed Myth 3 normally but when I click on it my screen goes black and about an hour and a half later the game starts. Then when I got into the tutorial it crashed in 30 seconds. Any ideas? I installed the 1.3.1 patch and it is still whoopy :S

Sorry for the epically long reply time. I am on an asus g1 laptop centrino duo core, XP media centre edition, Geforce go 7700 graphics card, lots of space and 2 gigs RAM. Also a bit of an update about this. I tried uninstalling the game and it said it has yet in my "add/remove programs" program it still says it's installed. The even stranger thing is that it says it's installed but only takes up 6 megabytes of space.

Now whenever I try to run the game it I get the "play" "uninstall" and the other options but none of them work.

Recap: I am on a PC that can run the game easily.

the game will not be uninstalled, or even start



Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's got some kind of copy protection (starforce? what else complains about a debugger?) so maybe try a crack from some illegal site like http://www.gameburnworld.com/ or get the latest version of starforce, depends who you distrust the most.

It's just odd that it won't be removed. I've never heard of anything besides a virus that couldn't be deleted.

It's just a failed/incomplete uninstall. You can use the Windows Install Cleanup Utility to clean it up.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Use that to clean up the Add/Remove Programs entries, then just delete the installation folder to finish the task and you'll be fine.

Be aware: It does not prompt you for confirmation before uninstalling something and it does it immediately.. so check your selections before telling it to remove things.

Then, just reinstall the game normally.

If it didn't show up in that list, it is NOT installed as far as Windows is concerned and you can safely delete the installation folder.

Oddly, there isn't an installation folder. It reads my disk as if it were installed but there is not folder for it anywhere.
