I approve of Om's message.
Good Job, fell in love with his 2 ton portable hydraulic lift. He was amazed to discover that; By vigorously moving the handle up and down, he could make the operating piston rise with great power. If the most outrageous injustice you can find to rail against in your life or the life of your friends and family or the world at large is the mariusnet rules to keep language all-ages appropriate, then you should consider yourself a very fortunate person.
I find the Mariusnet rules to be uniform and fair. I have no problem with them at all. I champion no friend or family member here, on the forums, as I have neither. As stated I find our(people) concepts of words and phrases interesting. Thanks for hosting a great site!
Some times the shenanigans are funny but most of the time its quite annoying. I have 3 hours to play myth and the tomfoolery is cutting into 2 of it. But what can you do beyond wanking?? Wanking ( not the England slang) can only stop some of it because one player might have many accounts. Which does seem to be the norm. One minute your having a nice game, with friendly chat. The next is total social break down. The same players involved(?), different accounts(?). I quit trying to keep up with who's who in this zoo a long time ago.
IMHO the host stealing and other small infractions are minimal inconveniences compared to the Zak attacks and didn't PPE have to shut down the IP access to Chicago once?? So relax have fun. If someone is probing you for fun and they raise a response, GG they won. If your host is stolen, which it often is, just join the other host.
Or just leave your host open. Everyone loves a host, but there are preferred host to be sure. Just because you have hosting abilities doesn't mean you'll fill seats. Build a better mouse trap and the world will beat a pathway to your door.

Hmm and ppl seem to feel the same as me, I actually will listen to ppl and host something they want, not like you hosting the same map 20 times in a row. That's why ppl leave your host. If you haven't figured that out you're pretty dumb.... Oh wait a minute, you ARE dumb, and the fact your wasting everyone's time with your comments which are complete garbage just proves to show you take a game which is supposed to be fun way to seriously. Also, I don't know who you are but I'm sure you're either a bonky dummy account or something, because as you soon as you showed up you've done nothing but bash me, as well as impersonating me at one point I might add. So really your attacks on me are just quite frankly ridiculous, and if you are Bonky or his boyfriend, I find it very hypocritical that you always go on about ppl having dummy accounts when you have one yourself.

These two accounts repeatedly suicided and dropped thereby adversely affecting the gaming experience of all the players.
This speaks to a larger problem in the community, a cancer if you will. The apparent laissez faire approach to enforcing the rules of m.net is simply not working. There is a group of vagabonds that has effectively taken over m.net during certain times of the day, making it difficult to play an honest game of myth. One has to be exclusive and paranoid of any unknown screen name in order to guarantee none of the m.net rules are broken.
According to the website, there are 5 rules to be followed:
Rule #1. "I. Transmitting any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable content, as determined by any marius net Admin. This includes vulgar and abusive language, even when masked by symbolic characters or misspelled, and includes screen names, profiles, and game names. If it cannot be said on prime time network television, do not say it on marius net."
Rule# 2. "I. Harassing, threatening, embarrassing or causing distress, unwanted attention or discomfort to another marius net user."
Rule# 3. "III. Causing the chat window to "scroll" faster than other users are able to type to it, posting unsolicited advertising or promotional materials, or disrupting normal chat in any way."
Rule# 4: "IV. Impersonating any marius net user with abusive or deceptive intent."
Rule# 5: "V. Disturbing the atmosphere of marius net as a friendly environment, as determined by any marius net Administrator."
Rules #1, #2, and #3 are broken routinely, but these are not of any concern to me personally, as that type of behavior is inherent to any internet community.
The rule that I am concerned with is rule #5. This rule encompasses all of the guidelines for fair and friendly play. Seeing as there is no specific rule against suiciding and dropping, I would be interested to know what an m.net administrators view is on that type of behavior. I personally find it abhorrent and intolerable. Without some sort of enforcement against these types of transgressions, the m.net community will to fall into disarray.
Currently, there is a group of people who propagate this type of delinquent behavior. I do not know all of the people involved and would not presume to point accusatory fingers wildly about. All I can do is inform the administration of logins that I have noted to act improperly. I do have a vague notion that this has been an ongoing problem with people that have been banned in the past as well as people who are currently walking on thin ice.
While banning people may work, it does not solve the problem of when these troubled individuals join games from guest accounts and continue with their wicked activities. One name I will mention is someone that people referred to as "kirk". A myth regular, no doubt, who made it his mission to lambast me in the lobby as well as refusing to distribute units when captain. When I told the host, Phex, that he was not giving me units, Phex kindly told him to distribute units. This kirk fellow, under guest account #25960, set up a situation where all the units were going to be killed, then passed them all off to me right before they were massacred. Hilarious to be sure, but a clear violation of m.net rules. When I asked Phex to boot the troublemaker, I was told to play with him or get booted. I refused to check in ready, and was subsequently booted. This capitulation only serves to hamper the efforts of administrators who try to keep people honest.
It is my opinion that m.net needs a proverbial enema to cleanse the ancillary clods of excrement that continue to stink up the joint. While I know this is unlikely to happen, the point needs to be made. It speaks volumes that m.net's best customer, Bonky, is one of the most harassed members on the network. Is there truly nothing that can be done about this inequity? Must we cower to this petty band of internet terrorists? I propose swift punitive action. Let us defiantly look these clowns square in their IP address and say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH".

Ummmmm I use "mcg" because this my account, I love how you forgot to mention in the ww2 game I played earlier tonight how you proceeded attack with a bunch of curses I can't say here because you have no sense of humor, and how was I ruining the games? Or is this how you attack ppl who constantly beat you? Give it a rest bonky and just play. Also it's funny how Cool Man was going on about "booting" when he constantly boots me from his games for no reason as well as several other ppl. You two honestly need to give it a rest, especially you Bonky with how worked up you get you're likely to have a stroke. Also Cool Man it's hard to play an honest game of myth when you constantly boot ppl who want to play, and you go on about kirk dettaching dying units to you, you're such a hypocrite whenever you're on my team in a game I strangely getting handed units right before they die, so really, you and bonky need to both stop acting so innocent.

If you are the host of a game you have the power to wank or boot anyone you want. These tools are available to hosts for a reason, so if players are ruining or disrupting your games you are encouraged to use those tools to resolve the problem.
If players are using multiple(dummy) accounts to get around being booted/wanked feel free to report this to admins. You are encouraged to work these issues out on your own, but if you are unable to do so and feel the need to report something to an admin, please be as specific as you can about who, what, and when.
If you are the one getting booted, and you don't want to be booted and you really have no idea why you are getting booted (unlikely in most cases), you should probably spend a little effort into figuring out why it is that you get booted regularly and other people don't. I am sure if you ask, hosts will be happy to give you their reasons for booting you. If the reasons are personal "I booted you because you smell funny" or "I booted you because you are from Ohio" then there's not much you can do, but if the reason is based on something you are doing you either have the option of pretending you've never done the thing that got you booted or you can adjust your behavior so you are less likely to get booted in the future.
But in general, everyone please stop whining.
