I had the same problem. I forgot my password and recieved a new random password. Using this password i could not long on with the game client until i changed it to a password that i selected. Might work for you also. Good luck.
Whenever you receive a new temporary password, the first thing you should do is log onto the forums and change your password. Once you've done that the new password you set will work in both the forums(here) and on the gameserver.
