I am taking on a somewhat dangerous and partialy insane endevor. I am trying to creat an HD and very coplex and detailed warrior unit. I am capable of 3d modeling and animation, but I lack the knowledge of how to do certain things in amber and fear. I have tryed tutorials, but books and articals never do me much good. So I'm asking for the assistance of anyone that has experiance in the matters of unit making. Thank you.

Just to clarafy things. I intend this units to have the following sequences:

Idle 1 and 2 + transitions to each
Sword-sideswipe
Sword-lunge
Sword-thrust
Sheildbash
Kick (for attacking units on lower terrein)
Walk
Run (will be an inventory with a mana based time limit)
Block
Taunt
Celebrate
Headshot
Flinch
Death
Hard death
Shield raise (to block arrows)
Shield mode (via inventory to always block arrows but move a bit slower)
And all his various dead body part.

This list is subject to change

As you can see this is a very coplex unit. It will take A LOT of time and effort from me. All I am hoping is that some of you will tell me how some of these things will be accomplished.

On a side note. I am making the unit model with a free 3D modeling and animating program called Blender incase anyone wants to check it out (I highly recomend it). And also if anyone out there has some experience with Blender I would be greatful for any advice.

jump over to magma forums and udogz hotline...

search Blender... and sequences.... good luck and message me if you have any new questions...

then see about doing a trial of oak .. which replaces amber...

Point. A few things I would ask are: how would I get oak? are you farmiliar with blender? how does oak work? and is there any easyer way to make each frame other that screen shots?

to use oak, you need to become a beta tester for myth. go to the tain forms and make an account if you dont have one already. and send a message to myrd about becoming a tester

I have blender though dont use it for myth stuff.... others do so check magma forum

as for making the sequences I make an animation and set it to render and save each frame...

enjoy the fun.

The "Skirt" is part of a chain shirt. A chain shirt is, by designe, to long. You ware a belt around your waist, and the rest of the shirt acts as a chain skirt.
