Whenever i try to play it says im not registered.what am i doing wrong?

Hi. I've been having a similar problem for at least a year now. I'm registered on mariusnet.com (after all, I'm posting this message  ), but when I try to sign in on Aleph One for multiplayer, it tells me I have a bad username or password. I've made sure that I'm typing them correctly in the "preferences" section in Aleph One, with correct capitalization, but when I go to the "join game" section, it still gives me the same message. It's not too big of a deal, since I've been playing successfully as a guest for a long time now, but it would be nice to figure out what's wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Nope. It's less than 16 characters, all ASCII. Thanks for the quick reply though.
EDIT: I tried changing my password and logging on with the new one. It had the same problem, so I changed back to my old one.

It's 12 characters: TleilaxuEyes. I'm not sure what the limit is for user names.

First off, sorry for my tardiness in responding, I haven't been around much lately.
- The problem for TleilaxuEyes is a rather infrequently occurring bug. Your web account was created just fine, but when you clicked the Activation link in the email you received, it didn't create your metaserver account.... thus, you can get logged in here just fine, but not there.
The ONLY solution is to delete this account and just have you re-register. To that end, I am now deleting 'TleilaxuEyes'.
However, in looking over the user list on the metaserver, it appears that perhaps you have an older account, that was last active circa May 2008. Send a PM to myself or one of the other Admins if this was your account and you would like it reactivated, instead.
- For MrBoom.... this is not the case for you. Your metaserver account was created just fine. My guess is that all you need to do is change/reset your password here on the forums and you will be ready to roll.

Hey, I have been having problems with my marathon infinity game. When I try to join a network game, it always says that the gatherer is using a newer version of aleph one and so I cant join. Where can I get a sufficient update that will actually work?

This is the guy who previously went by "TleilaxuEyes" here on the forums. Thank you very much! This solution worked perfectly. I'm really glad to be able to log onto the server after years of trying, and I got a shiny new username to boot. Also, thank you to everyone else who helped me out.

hiya. I have been trying to do a multiplay with a friend but whenever we tried to set a game (ie gather game) and join, we both get warning messages. apparently its something to do with our port setting but not sure where we can change the port status on Mac and how to set up. If anyone could help us with this, we would really appreciate it!
