Yeah, it seems like 90% of the guest account usage (or higher) are people who were banned. It takes very little time to register an account on marius, so at least a registered account provides a level of control for the moderators, in ways that an IP ban cannot.

Obviously since guests can't do anything in the lobby, the people complaining about the behavior of people using guest accounts are talking about behavior in games, or in pre-post-game.
Every problem Bonky encounters in-game is the result of his own actions. If this idiot would learn to shut his mouth once in a while, perhaps other players wouldn't go out of their way to give him such a hard time. Personally, I'd rather see all of Australia IP blocked than guest accounts disabled, and I have no problems with any Aussie's other than Bonky. He gives his entire convict colony a bad name.

They can never cause problems because they can't type in lobby, hosts can wank them, and hosts can identify them by the infinity symbol and boot them.

and the problem is solved.
That only works if you're the host. That provides no level of control against suiciders who are on other peoples' hosts. And no, asking them to wankguests is not an intelligent option. The average mariusnet user cant even type .version and tell you what build they're on (and this can be done inside of games, not just in lobby).
