I already know, if it's illegal don't post on forums or PMA_(SoAndSo) will yell at us. So if the answer I'm looking for falls into this category pm me. \:\)

I installed a new operating system on my comp, and when i went to install myth, my CD is too scratched to install. I looked at "websites," but most have 0 seeds for macs. I have myth installed on a PC, is there any way to just transfer the proper files on PC to a Mac? If you have another tip besides ebay, respond or pm me. Thanks.

Just download the myth II installer from the tain.
It should work with windows cd's.
If it doesn't work, just copy all the files (tags, cutscenes, etc.) and place the myth II universal app in the same folder. Should work.

This would work with a scratched CD?

Sometimes the installer won't work but you can still copy files. Obviously if the CD player won't read the CD neither approach will help you.

None of the magma installers/updaters will install a runnable copy of myth on your server.

The installers replace the myth.exe (or mac equivalent) but there are tag files from the original CD you need to run myth.

So you don't need the CD to update to the newest version of Myth, but you need to have the full install already installed on your computer before you can run the latest updater.

OM is right. It sorta weird, but I couldn't run from the install without some original files off the CD. I however, found a dmg Myth file. Megaupload had it. It works.

that is correct. but the tag files, PC and MAC are all the same. so coping tag files from your mac to your pc and then updating will give you myth on that computer. and no need for the CD.

The reason you can't run without original files from the CDs is because ProjectMagma doesn't have the rights to distribute the fully functioning game of Myth2, they can 'only' distribute updates.

so if he has the tag files on his PC, he can copy them onto a disk or flash drive or email and put them on his mac.. problem solved.
