to the... non-vets:
seek out players with the ~M~ tag and tell them you want to learn. they won't make fun of you.
just like universities, the mentors will differ in skill themselves but by the time you need to "graduate" from one, you'll have a good idea of who else can further your education.
to the vets:
by putting on the Mentor tag you agree to willingly help other players by answering their questions, showing them tricks of the trade, and generally being a good myth ambassador.
you don't have to wear the tag all the time, or ever, but when you do you are available to teach. this includes being leeched by newbs in tffa and 2t so please try to keep stacking or playing with friends limited to times when you aren't in mentoring mode.
if you can host as an ~M~, consider doing spontaneous drill sessions. melee and arty fights on deathmatch is a good way to get in intensive training with a small group.
don't ignore coops as teaching opportunities.
you can but aren't obligated to post in this thread if you want to help or need help, but getting your name out there couldn't hurt.
