i created a new unit in fear, all brand new, but i dont know how to be able to put him into maps! do i make a plugin for him, or what do i need to do?

You can either open Loathing and place the unit somewhere or even edit a unit tag so that say all dwarves are replaced with your new unit. For a unit to appear in Loathing's list of selectable units, it needs to have its own unit tag made. The unit tag links a monster tag with a collection reference tag.

thank you , i realized that i had a monster tag, but not a unit tag. i got that all sorted out.

And as killerking mentioned, if you get stuck or just need assistance, the mapmaking forums on projectmagma (or here) are good places to post. Magma tends to have pretty high mapmaker traffic on their forums. Like most things in life, people are generally more willing to help if you've done your homework first - e.g. read the unitmaking guides, and if there's anything you don't understand ask. Or try to create a unit following the guides and ask when you get stuck.

No need to spend that much. You could probably do Myth quality units with an old version of Poser or a couple-generation version old 3D figure modelling app.

Blender is freem cross-platform and is good for Models - not sure how good it is (if at all) for figure modelling.

i am not SoulBlaster, but i think his most-excellent Bag'o'Tags is just for new units - e.g. not just units that have been tweaked in Fear, but units that are visually new or in some way unique to the Myth world

i just dled a plug that showed sb before he turned evil. he was completely human. looked nice. but he had no weapon. all he did was punch. lol

You should see him punch in 'a murder of crows'. Also, see myth iii for Soulblighter in higher quality before he turned evil (he was actually a hero of the light).

i cant run myth 3. but i do have it. but in myth 2, he punches untill he comes after your units, then he has a weapon. im wondering how light sb would die?

I don't really remember that, but he wasn't as strong in m3 as he was in m2.
He was an heron gaurd champion.
