theres a game called endwar, its RTT, i havent played it but it looks alright. its on console though, and endwar's camera system is rather unique. you see a group of units from a thrid person view, and you can switch which group of units you see from. odd, but its RTT
Ground control one and two were also RTT. 3d graphics were nice, and realistic, but they were sci-fi setting, not swords and sorcery like myth. after playing myth, wich is all isometric, being able to control a 3d floating camera and see all the terain and unit details up real close and from afar was thrilling. i played GC 1, its alright i gues, never played multiplayer tho, it got taken down long ago. the slow acceleration and horible pathing of the units gets on your nerves tho. all the tanks keep trafic jamming and tank-moonwalking, and the campaign battles get monotonous after a while, but i dunno about multiplayer. i bet multi is way better, just look at myth. i also dont know about GC2, which ive never played, i hope its better.
the strategy game that catches my eye is supreme commander. its RTS sure, but talk about hard core strategy man.
in sup com, the buildings are simplified, and you can sort of automate all the building and stuff, so most of the game is actually battles, not just building units and tech. factories can automatically build units for you as well. too bad supcom needs a way better comp than ive got.
still, nothings the same as myth
