ps. If you are looking for names of Myth 3 maps to track down, there's a largish list at mything.org . Not (m)any download links, but lots of names f maps to make you wish you had a time machine.
I have a file on my HD called "ClemsM3TexturePack1v10.sit" which I always wondered what it was (I don't play M3). Sounds like it might be the item mentioned in the article.
I also have a file called "clem_map_pack_v1.zip", but again since I don't play Myth3 I can't really tell you what it is.
If you want these and no one else offers them to you pm me and we can talk about the best way to get the files to you. ...
ah did some more digging on my HD and found this description of the Texture Pack (I think it is about the .sit file I named above).
================================ Archive Attributes:
Game Version: MythIII: The Wolf Age Platform: Macintosh OS Compatible Clem's M3 TexturePack 1 (v1.0) created by: clem (The Mill Nazi Admin Hoor) Created: 11/24/2002 Posted: 11/24/2002
Description: Clem's M3 TexturePack1
This is a handy archive of 31 Detail Textures in a Drag and Drop format for Myth3 Vengeance. Use them as you wish. Give credit where credit is due.
Many of these textures have been used in my Myth3 releases and my upcoming Myth3 releases.
Detail Texture format: Detail textures in Myth3 need to be Photoshop files. To build a drag and drop friendly texture for Myth3 format your file the following way. Your base layer is your texture. 128, 256, or 512 pixel tile-able textures work best. Above that base texture layer make a New blank layer. No layer mask needed. Save the file as a Photoshop file and it will now be able to be dragged into a Vengeance Detail Texture Stack Layer. NOTE: All textures except for classic collections like pregames and overhead maps are handled this same way in Myth3. As I produce more detail textures for my own use I'll upload them in sets. Enjoy. Clem graciously gave me permission to host all the Creation maps/plugins on the OoH site just before the end of PlayMyth (March 2007). Amazing, eh? I thought it was pretty neat, especially since he and I had our little differences once upon a time (seems like a lifetime ago, really). I've always respected the work he and Creation did, and didn't want to see it vanish. It's an impressive body of work and part of Myth History imo.
I still have plans to create a dedicated mirror of the Creation downloads I discussed with him (called the "Mirror of Creation"), which I haven't had a chance to work on much due to work/life demands. Someday I'm hoping to do the same with the Idiots Mapmaking Collective.
I also plan to someday(tm) release a completed version of an uncompleted map Clem gave me permission to finish. Kewl, no? I'm thinking of waiting for Oak and Patch 1.7 to really make it something interesting. It's a beautiful map imo and high on my "Myth To Do" list.
Thus, I feel it is OK to include the awesome Clem/Creation Myth III plugins in the BIGZIP for download from the OoH site (with their original readme files). But to abide by his wishes, I would not post them on The Tain, nor should anyone else. Just get them from the OoH site.
I'm very pleased he gave the go-ahead for me to host them on the OoH site, because to me I believe they should be available for people to play -- they're too good to have disappear.
I'll see if I can't get the rest of the Creation site up again as part of the OoH site soon(tm). It's something that I really should finish.

Even if the maps will not be uploaded on the tain but on the Ooh site would be nice, especially would be nice if all the creation creations wouldn't be lost on some abamdonned sites. Thank you Baak
Btw: Creation maps/conversions still haves an active downloading home I've tried to dload the Legend of Gor-Ash directly from the Creation site and it's down:

The timing of this was perfect. I had no idea there was a Christmas themed Myth 3 map. The Dorf Santa Clauses are brilliant!
That's always a great map to play this time of year.

Cool stuff! I suppose you could do all sort of holidays. Easter egg hunts (using the hunting gameplay) and I guess everyday is Halloween in Myth . Life will be perfect when I can play Myth on my iPhone...

Someday I'm hoping to do the same with the Idiots Mapmaking Collective.
I can check with all the idiots, but I'm sure none of them would have any issues.
As far as the idiot Myth 3 maps, you have full permission to use all of them. They were released under a stricter license due to the climate at the time, and due to the involvement of Flying Flip folks on some of the work. I'll be releasing all the Myth 3 plugins idiot work with a creative commons license in the near future, when applicable.
Obviously, this won't apply strictly to ww2, except those elements created by idiot and not ported as we don't own the rights to that.
I also have a copy of the old idiots site I'll be hosting soon with maps I can find under a license they find alright. I'll be pushing for a cc license.
