Run the 1.6 Update before you do anything else.
I just installed TFL, Myth2 & MythIII under 64-bit Vista and they all run fine. All I did was ensure that I updated them before I bothered trying to launch them.

When I install myth3 on windows I need my cd (with dowloaded m3). So, if I follow up the other steps, will myth3 work on my mac? Because I don't know if it (mac) can read my myth3 for windows cd good enough to play on mac.

I believe Smacker was just for playing the cutscenes, you don't need it.

I just got a new computer. It's got Vista and I can't get Myth to launch. It says that I don't have Smackw32.dll, whatever that is.
I tried to DL it online but I still can't seem to get it. Is this something I have to buy? If so, that'

with the messages about not being able to delete files because Myth is still running, if you don't want to reboot you could try the ctl-alt-del task manager app to force-quit/kill the myth process that is apparently still running in the background so

1.Install myth3 on windows.
2.Copy the myth3 folder from windows to a disk.
3.Put the disk in my imac.
4.Copy folder from disk to hard drive (applications folder necessary? I don't

why can't we just stay with 2008? Changing a whole digit every year is such a pain. I mean, i'm still updating documents that say 1999. Gotta make sure everything is up to date!

Restart your computer. Then check if you can run Myth again. If you still have issues look at your myth_log.txt and see if any info in there is useful to us.
